Hi friends! I wanted to let you know of an opportunity in case you are interested…
Almost 5 years ago, I started filling up the long days and nights of my husband’s medical training by studying the Scriptures. As I leaned into His word, God comforted me in a way that strengthened my faith and grew me in my love for Him. My prayer became that He would take all the precious truth He was pouring into me and “pour me out” for the sake of others. By God’s grace, I was able to serve my local church in Richmond, Va through writing and teaching for several years.
We journeyed through the Psalms, the Sermon on the Mount, Jonah, 2 Corinthians, and Habakkuk. Through prompting questions and teaching, these studies guide the student through meaningful Bible study and lead them to worship Jesus Christ.
As I write this, our family is coming to the end of our time in Richmond, and I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to write and teach with my church. I would love to continue to help provide Bible studies for churches, classes, and individuals. Here’s an opportunity for you to consider financially supporting this work, and how you can gain access to the Bible studies in the process!
There is a paid-subscription service in the Substack platform. My newsletter posts will always be free, but you will have an opportunity to “upgrade to paid,” with either a monthly, annual, or “Founding member” level of subscription; you can also choose to give a subscription as a gift to someone. If you choose to upgrade, you will receive an email with 5 PDF files containing the Jonah study, the Sermon on the Mount study, the Psalms study, the Habakkuk study, and the 2 Corinthians study. You may print up to 100 copies of each study and use them for group studies, Sunday school classes, etc. Below are some descriptions of the Bible studies and reviews from trusted friends.
I would love for you to consider a subscription to help me keep providing resources for others to study and love God’s word! If you’re interested, you can click “upgrade to paid” below. If not, you will keep getting the monthly newsletters like you normally do. :) Thank you so much for your readership—it’s a gift to take joy in the Gospel with you.
Nothing without Him,

Jonah: God’s Steadfast Love Endures
A 5-week, verse by verse study looking at God’s compassion to Jonah, the power of God’s word, and His amazing grace to us through Jesus.
“This is a gospel-saturated study that over and over emphasizes God’s pursuit of His people and those who will become His people. Angela does an excellent job walking us through the Book of Jonah, asking questions that help us get to the heart of the text, and leading us to Jesus. She has taken the opportunity to not only show us Jesus in the Book of Jonah, she also provides tools to help us find Him throughout the other 65 books of the Bible. The time you give to this book and study will be well spent!"
Josh Romine, Associate Pastor, King’s Cross Church, Charleston, SC.
“This study captures the depth, breadth and complexity of Jonah’s heart and reveals attitudes that each and every one of us can relate to. Angela reminds the reader through various passages, that Scripture always interprets Scripture which she weaves throughout the Jonah study while asking us to ponder the deeper questions of our faith. This exercise gently leads one to examine his or her own heart and willingness to trust and obey—whatever the cost may be.”
Kathy Reeg, President, The Elisabeth Elliot Foundation.
The Sermon on the Mount: Adopted into a Kingdom
An 8-10 week verse by verse study exploring how adoption into the family of God, by His spirit, frees us to pursue obedience and experience the blessing promised in the Sermon on the Mount.
“Angela Lee’s Bible studies have been a blessing to the women of our church. Her careful guidance makes Bible study accessible for the beginner, but also provides plenty of structure for those wanting to dig deep into the Scriptures. This study takes the often familiar, but challenging, Sermon on the Mount and helps us see what Jesus is saying about being His disciple and living life in His Kingdom."
Angela Leary, Women's Ministry Leader, Redemption Hill Church, Richmond, Va.
"Studying the Bible in light of the person and work of Jesus has become an assumed thing. Angela has laid out a simple path of studying scripture and applying it to your life based on Christ-centered theology. This study is full of truths that will bring you intimately closer with God."
James Pittman, Executive Pastor, Church of Clayton Crossings, Clayton, NC.
The Psalms: Sing to the Savior
A 5-week, verse by verse study that explores 4 genres of Psalms: Lament, Thanksgiving, Wisdom, and Praise.
“Angela insightfully brings the ancient text of Psalms into this day and age; the joys and the sorrows of daily life. She offers a gospel-saturated look at some of the most beloved Biblical books to reveal Jesus to us in the Old Testament. It’s an honor to endorse her study on the Psalms and I encourage you to buy a copy of your own — you’ll be blessed.”
Madeline Wilkins, Writer and Mom of 3
"Psalms: Sing to the Savior is a beautifully written study that draws its readers into a closer knowledge of God's Word. Not only does Angela teach the Word clearly, but she also gently nudges readers to inspect their own hearts and grow in their obedience and relationship with Christ by seeing Him in the Psalms."
